I came very close to taking her apart and selling the parts. In the end I just couldn't do it. Too many good memories.
The color is Porsche Graphite Metallic.
The brakes are from Airkewld (two piston Wilwood calipers) in the front and the rears are from CB. I put the rears on the car when I owned it the first time. I have a set of repo Fuchs, but I'm hoping to get a set of custom Minilites made for the car next year.
I also have a set of red Konis for the car.
I'm using my old Mallory. I thought the fire toasted it, but Henry knows a guy that rebuilds distributors. This is an expensive distributor, so it was worth the rebuild, and older Mallories are MUCH better than the newer ones.
I also have a Megajolt lite Jr. EDIS kit (crank fired ignition), but presently no one knows how to make it work with CB's fuel injection.
Some of the parts are from my old engine (heads, Pauter rockers, crank, rods, custom merged header and heater boxes). Still, I've spent over $7000 CAN on the engine. The total cost will be higher, because I'm having Henry install and set up the fuel injection. He's building a compartment underneath the 'rear seat' for the F.I. computer. Total cost will probably be $9,000+ (insert shocked icon here).

Yep and yesterday I got paid $.50 a mile to drive it. I took it to work and made sales calls. I knew the "back" way home from Santa Rosa on Hwy 128 would be a fun drive.

I was not disappointed one bit even if it was almost 100 degrees out.
Nothing new from Henry yet. The plan was to install and start the engine this week. I've been expecting a call that goes something like this: "Ron, Henry here. We installed your engine this week and started her up. Unfortunately, the engine started to puke oil out of every known seal....hell, even the unknown seals leaked. Come and get your engine and take it back to the boneheads who built it. My crew has nicknamed your car the 'Intermeccanica Valdez'. BP oil has offered to help in the cleanup." :-)
