Beautiful, just beautiful.
You are installing a fire extinguisher in it, right Ron?
Now that was FUNNY!!!
YES!!!
Ron:
What a stunning transformation. The color is wonderful and the additional trim touches really set it all off. Congratulations on a well thought-out rebuild.
And lest we all forget, here is what Ron and Henry started with:

I really, really hate the smell of burnt fiberglass!
Looks like some of my old underwear after a Chili Cook-Off at Vince's!

I bet it brought back some memories, eh Ron?
Beautiful, Ron. I see you got the CSP shifter as well.
Did Henry & his crew have to pry you out of the car after your test drive?
They just brought him a laptop so he could post from there.
lookin VERY good Ron.
as for clearance on the throttle bodies - have you seen those 'clip on' air cleaners that attach to velocity stacks?

Very stunning Roadster, Ron. The color is beautiful and the interior is perfect. Love how Henry put the head restraints on the speedster seats.
Enjoy and see you next summer.

Lane, interesting that you should mention the CSP shifter. On my IM it's too far forward. First and Third is a bitch of a stretch. Henry said there may be some adjustment. If not, I may be switching to another shifter, which is really unfortunate, as the CSP shifter is one sweet unit. Interestingly enough, my Gene Berg shifter fit perfectly.
Jim, the drive was cut short because of fuel injection problems. And I thought FI was going to solve all my problems......
Mango, can you give me a link?

Oliver, that's my color...I think. Mine is a Porsche color. Graphite Metallic (1954-55) Porsche #5403.
I recently found out my IM made the Vancouver Sun newspaper (one to Vancouver's two large daily newspapers). Seems the Sun was doing a story on Henry and the photo to go with the written piece included my IM.

By the way, read the article. There's some interesting information on future Intermeccanica plans.

Pink?! I'm sure Henry was grumbling (quietly) over that one.
What a nice looking IM build.....and pink in the right shade, is "perty" too~
Once saw a pink '32 Deuce coupe in pink, all trim was done in a medium copper, stunning and so was the tall blonde that owned it.

Henry builds dreams....some might be Pink. Mine was 1953 Porsche Fashion Gray. I'm just glad I was able to have my dream built.
Ron the car is looking good. I'm looking forward to the trip up north in 2011.

The IM in the photo may look pink, but it's not. It's bright red. Not my cup of tea, but each to their own.

I think the pink comment has to do with the fact that Henry built a pink one once. It was in the article. Yours is certainly NOT pink, Ron!
Ya Pink!
When I was twelve years old ('52) and just beginning to be attracted to cars, I read a book, think it was called "Hot Rod."
Anyway this guy had built an open wheeled hot rod and painted it pink with brown upholstery and instead of chrome, gold plated plated every thing.
Guess what? The car was so striking and stunning he won first place at the big car show. Then after the show he was driving his girlfriend home - they crashed and died.

...The End!
Not really Jim,
The car was upside down and battery acid destroyed her lovely face...

Mike... I also read " Hot Rod " back around '62....it's somewhere on the library shelf: 629.228 dewey decimal system.
If everything goes as planned my IM should be home next Saturday. Henry just needs to do some finally fuel injection mapping.
I've posted three more photos showing Henry's clean routing of fuel lines, my low air cleaners, which are needed to clear the engine hood, and my new exhaust pipe/muffler install.

For what ever reason, I remember numbers but can't remember where my keys are or I'm wearing the glasses I'm looking for ~
big fan of the oil fill/breather. Ron, what is the hose running out of the fan shroud for?
It looks like it's connected the the shroud, but it's actually going to the breather box.
I like this CSP breather box, but as I mentioned a while back Henry had to remove some of the inside of the engine hood to clear the breather box, and move one of the fitting from the top to the side. This probably wouldn't be a problem with the newer IMs, as their engines sit 3" closer to the front of the car.

"It was a dark, stormy night' sums up my drive home. A retched drive, but she's finally home, tucked away in her garage.
