A moment of silence for the departure of an SOC icon.

It's sad to see it go, being that we all had such fun with it (and brought us all such joy!), but life goes on. Good luck with the sale, Stan. I hope whoever buys it appreciates the history and provenance this special vehicle comes with- it was, after all, the official ride of the President of the Republic of Stanistan...
Beloved of his people...
That's the way to do it. Buy a good deal, improve it while you have it, enjoy the heck out of it, and pass it on while the vibes are still good ones.
Good luck with the auction, El Presidente.
We're down to about 2-1/2 hrs, and the bid stands at $4850.
There seems to be at least a few guys who are ready to take the next step towards a consolidation of power. Hopefully at least two of them are serious about nationhood.

Nationhood?
No. That car is about MANhood.
$5750 with 12 minutes to go.
Hammered at $7703. It'll be hard to see it go.
Very well sold. Nice job, Stan!
I know you'll be sad to see it go, but it won't bother you long I think.
Seems like a decent deal for both sides. End of an era...but the start of a new one.

I think so. I couldn't get any action on it locally, so I was glad for the exposure. On FB Marketplace I had it listed for $7000, and dropped it to $6500. I had a half-dozen people tell me how funny they thought the whole thing was, a pimp who wanted to know my bottom dollar, and a guy who wanted to hire me to pick up his daughter from school. Having people laugh at a thing is different than having offers. BaT brought me buyers.
The winning bid came from a couple who are teachers in Michigan and plan to use it as a daily driver on their commute to school. They seem to understand and embrace the conceit, so I'm hoping they'll enjoy it like I did.

Yes, but think of all the 'Kodak Moments' you had with that conveyance.
It carried you - and your grandkids - in regal style.
@Stan Galat, where in Michigan?

Still haven't heard. Waiting for more information.

Wait... The thing is, what? One Hundred Ten feet long?
It takes 45 seconds just to clear out of the driveway!
I bet all the grandkids will miss it, though. Especially on Ice Cream nights.
19-1/2 ft long, El Gordo. Shorter than my new monster truck, but point taken.
It's a baby limo.
Congratulations on the sale. It seems to have been a good thing for you and the buyers.
