The Spyder has one problem I have yet to resolve.... The horn is a waste.... Every VW type 1 I've ever owned was louder.... The horn needs replacement, but I don't want to go with air horns.... So the question becomes what can I use? I'm certain someone here has already handled this problem.... I would like to use a single horn, if possible....
Any and all help/advice appreciated.....

You don't need a horn , Leon. Just give 'em "the look", and they'll move.
I have some i took off the Speedster and replaced with Griot's 'Big American Car" horns. They are the twin Hellas. You want 'em?

I think it was Jack C. who recommended the WOLO Bad Boy Air Horn (419 or the Big Bad Boy 619). Sells for $30 on Amazon. Its an air horn but is self contained so no "compressor" lag. I like look and sound of the dual FIAM El Grande for $20.
