The Teal Deal is SOLD!

After several months on the market, my 2009 JPS Outlaw Speedster has sold.
It's currently on its way from Southern California to somewhere in Florida.
Thanks to all for your interest and kind comments.

On with the next project! Maybe we'll get to see it at one of the east coast gatherings.

Sorry to see the Teal Deal leave your garage on the West Coast, John! Some one in Florida got themselves an ultra bitchin Speedster!

Powder-coated the spokes grey, left the rims clear.

John, can you share what sales media worked for you, autotrader, craig's list, classified, this forum, other (which) forums, social networking or? Thanks for sharing.

David, I had the Beck on Auto Trader Classics, not much action. Also on Craig's List, one caller who actually looked at the car. Ebay classifieds, nothing. The Samba, my buyer bought it when he say it on the Samba. I think my sale was just like John's, just plain lucky this time of year.

David - I originally listed my Speedster here in the Classifieds. Lots of comments, no takers.
I also advertised it locally on Craiglist//Los Angeles. Had three visits, two test-drives, one very low-ball offer, which I didn't think was really serious.
After several weeks of inactivity, I sent the car to California Cars in Thousand Oaks, a consignment reseller of many different kinds of fun cars. He advertised it on The Samba, and a few other places, eventually attracting a buyer from South Florida.
I had not expected to sell the car until Spring, so was pleasantly surprised when I got the call the car had sold.
Warren's right - "lucky" this time of year.

It's awlays Summer in FL so I guess thats a good place to advertise:)

Marty, that may not always be true about Florida, this year at least. Nolan Scott was taking about 27 degree mornings. That sure ain't top down weather.
