I just got home from a car show at "Boys Republic" It's a home for wayward boys. Steve McQueen spent some time at Boy's Republic when he was just a lad.

The show was titled "Friends of Steve McQueen" along with his 1969 911S, motorcycles, replica of the 1968 Mustang GT 390 he drove in Bullitt and one of his old pick up trucks, his beautifully restored 1958 Speedster complete with Rudge wheels was on display. Matt Stone, the author of "McQueens Machines" was on hand to sign his book. (I had previously purchased the book on Amazon and he autographed it for me)

Most of what you see in the background are original 356 coupes. I only saw one replica Speedster and no Spyders. I tried to find the owner of the Replica Speedster but he was no where around

In addition to a ton of Porsche's, there were Ferrari's, hot rods, GT350's and GT 500's, Jaguar's, Austin Healy's, BMW's, Mustangs, 40, 50 and 60's cars and a whole bunch of other cars

Here's a photo of the replica Speedster taken from quite a distance
