I go to a car show up here in Danville (NorCal). There's usually 10 of thousands of people each night (3-4 shows each summer). It's the Hot August nights of Danville. I usually have 100-200 people ask me specifically about my car. I usually steer them to speedsterowners.com to get more info about replicas. Do you have business cards I can hand out? People get really excited about how cheap they are.

I have a similar problem here on the East Coast - people see the car and then want to know where they can get one.

I printed up business cards on perf'd card stock from Staples. On one side I have a picture of my car and me (which they've seen) with my name and phone number beneath.

On the back side of the card, I list the sources, in alphabetical order, as the websites for Beck, Intermeccanica, JPS and VS and a pointer to Speedsterowners.com

Gives them everything they need to get started searching and the cost to me is minimal.

Great idea, It seems to be a common theme running thru our appearences at car shows. I never thought of your answer to the issue. Good thinking, you get ten merit points !

Great idea. Maybe adding the location, month (exact dates change) and URL of the Carlisle amd Knotts meets would get more people to attend.

Good idea on the meet info. on the cards

Maybe I can get bigger cards and/or smaller fonts.

That's a great idea. Does anyone have access to a really inexpensive business card maker?

Maybe it would be better if i just posted a word document that prints on standard avery business cards, so everyone can print at will.

That's about what I did......got some micro-perf'd business card stock at Staples, fired up WORD and told it I wanted to do business cards. It asks for the Dennison/Avery number and then formats everything for you. The only tricky part is doing two files so you can then print different stuff on both sides, but it wasn't a big deal.

BTW: Want me to put that picture of you and Jim-Bob on the back of mine?? I had a picture of me and my car, but we might get more mileage with that other pic.............then again, maybe not.

I make business cards, and I get them printed at www.dpgink.com . Printing is only $65 for 2500 cards, and that is full color front and back. Turn around is only about 1 week.

Theron, go to this website: vistaprint.com They'll give you 500 free business cards for $4.95 shipping only. Probably would be able to print up more for a reasonable fee.

You guys should get a few thousand made up (I'm sure you could probably find a place that would do it for $30-40 or so), and then just split them between a few people. It's not like any one person is going to use any more than a few hundred. If they do, good for them! :)
