Theron.....When I started a new Speedster build, I decided to make new, more complete wiring schematics than those typically found. Once completed, they included switch & relay contact developements, voltage regulator internals, etc. Several SOC members have seen these drawings and urged me to post the drawings on the SOC site.

The circuitry is not a direct copy of the VW, but instead includes custom items such as an Ididit steering column with GM directionals, after market (not VDO) gauges and sensors.

I am e-mailing you PDF files of the schematics today, April 1 at 12:10 eastern time.

I have complete schematics of MY car's (JPS) wiring harness. I made them from scratch, first in Viseo and then later copied them into Powerpoint. Both of those applications have all the tools needed to make really neat schmatics. I created mini headlight and tail light icons, starters, engine outline, oil cooler fan, etc. That way you know WHERE in the vehicle to LOOK for the connectors. Very helpful are the depicted front and rear firewalls, so you know where the cable penetrations are located (that sounds X rated?).

Unfortunately, I did all this on my office computer on lunch hour, and since retiring, I no longer have access to those programs. I still have the files, but I don't know if I can attach them to an Email or not. I guess they would open as a PDF? In case someone is interested?
