I finally got rid of most of my oil leaks. I nice to get under the car and not see drips all over the heater boxes and tins. That being said I have one small leak left, I finally tracked it down to the joint between the crankcase and the thin CB sump. I've never had this off but next time I change oil I'm going to pull it off and reseal it. So how does it come off? When you pull the sump plate are there bolts of nuts and a gasket above it? Thanks, Frank.

Looks like it came with new studs, copper washers and cap nuts.
When you take the cover off of the bottom of the sump the studs that held the original sump plate cover are what the new sump late attaches to the bottom with.
If you look at the above picture you'll see the six holes on what is the side that mates to the bottom of the original sump plate. Remove the sump, clean up both surfaces, get a high quality gasket, smother both sides with Gasgacinch, let it setup, and reattach the sump.
I just did mine after installing the sump two years ago. I had a slight leak from between the bottom of the original sump and the new CB Performance Thin Line Sump.

Look for interference between the bottom of the case and the sump; there could be a fin touching somewhere so it just doesn't seal up tight. Al
Aircooled.net sells a thicker, orange, neoprene gasket set for that application - MUCH better than the usual paper gaskets.
Go to your local auto parts store and ask for a felpro sump gasket for a vw bug.
Or just forget about the paper gasket, and use gasket goop when you bolt it together. Again, make sure the sump doesn't contact the bottom of the case anywhere but the gasket flange.
A drain plug in that cover would be nice, if you haven't already done that. I used the same sump and had my engine builder put a plug in it.

I bought that sump and also bought the Mag-X cover by Jaycee. It has a large magnet built in and it has a drain plug.

Ditto what Robert M said. Costs a little bit but looks and works great!
Looks like there is a bung at bottom of picture of sump that is or could be tapped for a drain plug.

That's correct. When I ran the engine wet-sump (and on the 2110 that is wet-sump) I did this. I got a magnetic drain-plug from Summit. Works fine.
You guys are great! I already have the Jaycee plate. I'll get the gasket and next oil change take off the sump, goop up the new gasket and put it back on. Thanks for the help.
I need to get on the program and add my sump.
