Vince,
What I do with my car in my private time is none of your business.
Mickey - there is also a rear valence (fiberglass) available to replace the rear bumpers (& weight). If I can find a link to it I'll post it.
Thanks Jimbo. The more info I can get the better decision I can make, so shoot me that link if you find it.
I've seen a FG rear valance that bolts up under the bumper it runs lower than the stock one giving the car a more lowered look. I'm hoping to keep the aluminum bumpers for integrity purposes as the FG ones aren't as strong in an impact, or even a fender bender for that matter. If and when I ever get a garage to park in I may go all the way with a full long hood backdate like Angela was talking about with as much weight loss as possible but for now I just want to drop as many pounds as I can and still keep the car relatively safe. I'm thinking of a set of CF seats (could save some serious weight with those) and a few other "dietary" alterations cuz ya know what they say, "lighter is faster". I'll take a few extra ponies where ever I can get em.
Oh, (hijack) and I'm still trying to get an updated race schedule for the next race. They still have the schedule from the previous event where shared track time with Formula V cars so the times don't reflect our next race. I'm gonna say let's plan for a dine and dash and if we can make it more I'll let ya know. I just don't want everyone waiting on me to finalize their plans.

Roger That, Mickey! I'll look for that link. There was an SOC member who posted a while back (maybe a couple of years) that had that FG rear valence. he also replaced the rear brake/light assemblies with an insert with round brake/tail lights instead.
If it works out best on your schedule, a dine-and-dash meeting works for us also.

Jim sounds like 911R parts from GT Racing. They have a website, and I have the catalog.
Mickey, aftermarket ducktails usually need a little fitment massaging from what I've heard. I have a so-so decklid, was hoping to cut it up and use it as a frame for a ducktail, just like the originals.
Hopefully, my car won't weigh much more than 2000 pounds, with north of 250 hp. Should be entertaining!

Danny - I think that's it. Hopefully you can give Mickey a link or contact info for his research.
Brian - you GOTTA join us on our next SOC cruise. It'll probably be the OC canyon cruise I'll be setting up in the next couple of weeks.
Peace - Out!

Damnnnnn Danny! 2000 lbs with 250 ponies will be entertaining to say the least. I hoping to get rid of 150-200 lbs and if and when I do the top end I may do the cam upgrade, but definitely SSI
Love this thread! I built my IM speedster 3.2 and LOVE it. "Fell" into an bone stock Black 87 Carrera Coupe. I wanted to "upgrade" but not go crazy, sooooo.. I put in a WEVO shift kit, now that G-50 is really short and slick, placed a Triangulated Brace on the front schock towers, sweet, tight, ultra responsive, and a turbo steering rack, which made the steering, RIGHT NOW!. Steve Wong chip, SSI headers, Custom MK Exhaust, Sport Bilsteins, TOYO R1's and WALA!!! Still not as much fun as La Bomba, though, but am researching, dropping in a 993 3.8 Vario-cam motor. I hear aside from the motor mounts it should fit quite nicely. But Im not looking to go overboard or anything........ P.S. I love the tail, dosen't look right w/o one. Just my humble opinion.

Crap Howard, now you have TWO cars I covet!
Regarding your 911, may I suggest a low pressure turbo? The 3.2 quite likes it and it will eat the 993 vario for lunch. The 3.8 cup motor might be another story...
If you're interested - "the" guy is Kevin Farrell - Injection Labs, Boulder, colorado.

Jim - I'll watch for info on the next OC Cruise.
From there, I'm impressed with the number of FAKE (not that it matters to me) Speedster owners who seem to also own REAL Porsches.
