Sounds like it was a good drive. I still have it on my calander for this weekend. hahaha. What was your total route that you had planned?
Auburn to NV City to Cisco Grove and then back roads to Truckee (Hampshire Rock Rd to Lincoln Hwy/Donner Pass Rd)?

Stephen, we only did 1/3 of the drive.
The tour would have continued up 89 to Tahoe City, then 89 to Meeks Bay for lunch. After lunch, continue on 89, past Emerald Bay, over to South Shore and down 50 to Placerville. Then over 49, through Coloma and Cool and back down to Auburn.
Next year I'm planning this tour with the local vintage sports car group. I'll post the event when it comes time.
I'm always up for a drive - at least once a week - but I rarely get past Lake Tahoe. Do you ever come down to the CA foothills?
Terry, I have not made a trip over the hill yet. Up into Tahoe and around the lake a lot. I have several clients in Tahoe City so during the summer the speedy comes out. I have also done it on nice winter days.
I will get ahold of you if I make it that way.
