PRetty cool Marty.
Nice in some ways. Outlandish in others.
I respect the hustle.
In total agreement with Bob. That interior in particular, is outlandish.
And what's up with the box full of cash?
Here is another car that was built for Sema by the same guy. Center cockpit 550 Spyder. At the beginning and again near the end, the builder gets on the Type IV motor and it just lays down a constant flow of smoke (?).

Nice from the outside and underneath, great motor output.
The interior touches like the blue steering wheel and weird wood grain part of the dash just scream kit car and more money than brains....or at least taste. Cool for a show car.
I've got one word: tacky. His cars are like Daniel Verwers on drugs.
Fit and finish and quality? Yes. Design harmony and taste? Zero.
Perhaps Total Seal rings would help ?
2 much bling
too much bling is an understatement!
So I actually have seen both cars at SEMA and had a pretty strong reaction to them. I think because they are really only flashy instagram cars and the details that people were talking about were just trashy and not respecting the heritage. For a certain age group that knows nothing about these cars I get how it was shocking to them but for the rest of us I could not believe what people liked. For example the box of cash...really its just a selfie moment.
Im a little biased I must say, as I'm sure they have seen my cars interior with the dimple die interior and rivets. I honestly don't mind being copied, but I have one rule. Do it better then me and move it forward. Most of the dimples didn't line up, and they didn't even finish the rivets so all the trim parts were held on by like 4 Allen heads. Take a close look at the trim around the rear clam vents or on the floor. Then to top it off they put fake wood veneer floor under the floor.
Another item you have to look for is this car had the worst diffuser front and rear and sides made out of what looked to be .050 aluminum, so any wind would buckle that, completely non functional and just for show. This also has the trim that was not even riveted on? The first day it had this, and I kinda got into an instagram conversation that he must of read about it. Next day it was off the car and just the rear was left. Smart move people other then me were clowning on it.
End of the day Greg over at Vintage did an amazing job pulling these together in the time frame considering all the custom stuff added to it. Has center steer is amazing and it must have been such a balance to get these all pulled together, so hats off to him and his commitment. He can't be shorted on bad taste.
To end this, obviously you can tell these builds get me a little heated. The cars are designed to be over the top, because unfortunately many people into cars at a younger age are looking for this type of stuff. Normally its the 200 kids crowding a supercar, or standing on the corner videoing the mustang or Charger that does donuts at a cars and coffee and gets it shut down. This is what gets you noticed now....if your not getting 4,000 like on insta your no one and sponsors won't talk to you.
