If it goes as good as it looks, this is could be a good deal. I would have changed the instruments and put in a Vintage Speed shifter.
Look closely, carpet looks to be original 1980 FF, chips and scratches...Photographs well but not worth $29K! For that kind of money I'd expect fresh paint and a brand new interior...matching gauges too. And those $25.00 fog lights are worthless (ask me how I know)
Or, for half the money you can get this one that's almost as nice.
AND, he has dropped his price to $14,000.
You know Gordon, That car would have sold by now had it been listed on ebay.
It appears all you have to do is stuff a 2.2 litre motor in an old FibreFab and take 100 pictures and you can ask $30K now....

Is there ever a good reason to pin both sides to the same anchor?
Keeps em from getting out
Perhaps, there is something structural, on the back side we can't see that forces, such an adaption.

I would say no. It places all the force of an accident/weight of a body in motion onto one point. Bad idea.
How would you put THREE people back there!? They are called monkey seats for a reason.
