I was browsing through the JC Whitney web-site the other day and ran across a Jacobs electronic ignition package and I'm wondering the forums thoughts. It is described as follows:
"MASSIVE POWER BOOSTER FOR BEETLE"
Powerful BUG-PAK ignition system is specially made for '54-78 Volkswagen Beetle and Super Beetle.

What are your thoughts on this in terms of bang for my buck, ease of installation, mpg enhancement, etc.

boost your tire psi by 1 pound, it'll do more for your performance
and look at the money you'll save.
but seriously, stick with a slip in electronic ign module
for better ign. performance overall

Thanks for the response. I get out my pump and kick up the psi a notch...
