FYI and in case you pull and equally stupid trick, it's a piece of cake. Mine has a ~71 up column w/column lock. Pull the steering wheel, four screws outta the turn sig. switch - remove it. There is a little hole in the casting around the ign. switch (~10 o'clock), I pushed in the hole with an icea picka to compress the spring in there and walla the lock assy slides right out. Got a new lock assy from Larry's Off Road (NFI) for $16.11 inc. tax. Such a deal.
