Eddie:

Guess what, I looked on the map and found Willows, Duh! Guess I won't need the GPS after all. It looks like it would be a fairly nice drive from Eagle Point. Willows is a gas fillup spot from Eagle Point in my Escape so that would make it about 250 miles for me, about 2 1/2 hours, right? What time will you leaving Redding? Maybe we could meet and cruise on down there together. This all dependent on the weather of course. I've got the big pass to go over into California and that can get pretty hairy with the white stuff that time of year.

I've now been to 'Thunder & Gone'
Thunder Hills is a long drive for us 'bay area boyzzz'
Brian was there from sacks-o-tomatoes and I made it up from benny-cia, but that be it... No other SOC folks.

Oh, Gary from Parts Obsolete had some beauts there and there were lots of race cars fast, furious and festivious. Lots of 356s.
Worth the drive...

Sunday November 2nd in Willows Calif. at the beautiful Thunder Hill Raceway Park, several speedster owners will be meeting to enjoy vintage sports car racing. This is a great track and pit passes are included with admission. We will be meeting in the paddock (look for the tubs) around 10am. Stay as long as you like. Easy driving distance from Sacramento, San Francisco, or Redding, Hope to see you there, weather permitting of course. Eddie
Paul,

When the Emergency room Docs asked how I got frostbite on the tips of my ears and the back of my neck, I could only reply that a new friend of mine peer-pressured me into it! (kidding of course).

How cool was it to climb into a cool car after watching all of that vintage iron getting sideways and nasty on the track?

My bad for not bringing my digital cam, Next year I'll bring a digital video rig. Way too many 356 details to remember without pics. I got to meet Gary Emory and gawk at all of his outlaws and their unique mods. Parts Obsolete had quite the stable of very fast contenders.

All the sudden though....I feel the need for gobs of HP and major handling upgrades... go figure.

Was great seeing you there and talking car stuff.

Brian.
