not my flavor, but interesting.

Why the left over MB 190SL wheel well arches and hard top? Rear engine vents are weird too.
Someone's unique taste in a Speedster. Not to my taste, but well done.
I'm with Lane~!
It looks like it is smiling
I didn't realize it has both beehive and oval tail lights!
I'm not a thunder ranch fan (big surprise) but I kinda like this thing from a craftsman point of view.
Tail lights look like they're fresh off a '53 Chevy....
Another example of "just because you can doesn't always mean you should".
Great comment Al!
Thank you Bob, thank you very much...
I guess your comment reminded me of some of my mistakes.
This is a nice custom build. A little different but, like a lot of you-all say, that's what the hobby's about. Every detail on this car is well executed.
It doesn't appeal to me but it certainly looks like a well executed build. Interesting spin on what a 356 can be.
I hate to say it, but I kinda like it...

No. No. No. It's just ugly. It needs to be well-executed to put it out of it's misery.
Oh.......that kind of executed...
Exactly, Stan! It's the speedster's (and all early 356's, for that matter) simplicity in it's lines that makes it so iconic. Another car's "add-on" styling touches detracts from the clean lines of the original shape. Whether it's well done or not, change for the sake of change is not necessarily a good thing, and in this case just look out of place. An engine fire would do wonders...Al
I like it that someone is thinking outside the box and trying something different.
Would I buy one? No.
I noticed the engine is visible through the large grills. It might not be a good idea to drive this speedster rendition in the rain.
Stan thinks it wouldn't be a good idea to drive it in the daylight.
remove the wheel arches&Im good to go.
Driving that would be like dating a woman with a killer bod and 'butter face'! It would be awfully fun to ride, but you wouldn't want your friends to see you on it!
Footnote: 'butter face' = She has a crazy sexy body, but her face...!!
butter face can be fixed these days, stupid cant!!
I was shooten pool a month ago, and saw a real nice set of, well they were realy nice, all of what I saw was realy nice, then came the butter topping.......with that package I'd delever the goods with anybody watching and hopefuly my wife would be cheering me on!!!( we can always wish cant we??) and as it turned out....she was with her girlfriend.../boyfreind....whatever.and thats ok too.
Ive ridden all kinds of stuff from a bycycle to $750000+toys,it's just a ride, have fun nomater what you on/in.
Stan thinks it wouldn't be a good idea to drive it in the daylight.
Once again-- you are correct, sir.
That thing fell out of the ugly tree, and hit every branch on the way down.
get rid of those redwalls and the wheelarches and i'd drive it.
I LIKE THE RED WALLS
