This Spyder is on BAT. It is described as both a Beck and a Thunder Ranch so I asked the seller to clarify what it is. Look at the repair receipt and you'll see the seller paid someone over $4,000 to make and install a wiring harness. Although the wiring work looks decent it doesn't look $4K decent. Some of the wiring work posted by some of our more OCD SOC members looks much more impressive. To be honest some of the prices for the other service work looks pretty high as well.

I was following that auction as well. It seems to be a classic example of taking a car to the wrong shop. I don’t think he was “ripped off” per se, I think it’s just that the shop he took it to has no experience with this type if car... and it shows. There’s nothing wrong with the work, just no evidence that they’d ever seen one of these cars before.

$480 for the air intake duct, per invoice.

This car is basically what I am building, and I am building my first car, and so I know that I don't know what I don't know. But, with all respect and modesty, I would not have done a cooling air duct like that, and I would not have charged anyone $480 for it if I did.

I wish the seller a good price and the buyer a good deal.
