I think that question should be directed to Bill George. He has a beautiful example that I believe won best Porsche replica at Knotts in 2005. You should be able to find his name in the registry on this site.
P.S. After looking at the registry, I found that there are six owners listed. You can sort the by manufacturer. If nobody chimes in, send any or all of them an e-mail.
