Nice car/great price. You should list it on the Speedster Forum also.
Mileage on the engine? Genuine Fuchs? Car is titled where? And titled as... ?
Hey Art. Zero miles on the engine, well I think the speedo shows 2 miles, but it really hasn't been driven except on the street in front of my home. Yes, those are genuine Fuchs 16" polished wheels. The car has never been titled, but I have an MSO from the manufacturer.
Jim,
Thanks, I am not ready to make the plunge. Nice Spyder. I would worry about the California DMV, with an MSO.
Good luck to you, with your sale, Art
Art,
Not sure why you would worry about licensing a specially constructed vehicle with an MSO. If it's not built on a VW frame, an MSO is your only option, as far as I know. I licensed my 2013 SAS coupe with one with CA DMV on Jan. 6, 2013.
MSO?
Manufacturer's Statement of Origin. The regulations vary from State to State, so it is necessary to know the applicable rules.... The Google Knows All.
If it was black, I'd be all over this!
Bill, at this price a repaint to black is easily affordable. Plus, the car is so small and simple, it wouldn't be much effort either.
How about posting more photos of the car?
Great looking Spyder, Jim!
Thanks Bruce. Missed seeing you guys last month!
I'm not sure how I missed this, and I'm not sure why it's not sold yet. Perhaps people somehow missed the part where this car has a turbocharged 2110, genuine Fuchs, etc., etc.
Under $20K buys a mid-engined, turbocharged, 0-mile, race-car? This is under-priced by at least 50%.
Thanks Stan,
I agree it's probably under priced, but I'd like to see someone take it to the next level.
Jim, I am very interested but not sure what you mean by the "next level" I would just like to get in and drive it.
Al---on this car, "next level" has to mean interplanetary travel---something like that!
Nice car--good looking and very special and seems like a bargain price. Good luck!
Hey Al,
By the "next level" I mean really finish it up and enjoy it. As I've said before, it still needs seat belts, speedo cable and a couple other things. Plus the "roll bars" are actually cosmetic "show bars" that ultimately should be secured. It can be driven now, though it's a pretty loud and obnoxious (a good thing really) as it is. If I were taking it to the next level, I'd swap out the turbo set-up for a twin-carb induction and add a removable steering wheel. That way it would be more user friendly (getting in and out of a tiny car) and still powerful enough to scare yourself.
Hey Jack,
You're probably right...interplanetary travel. It's certainly fast as is. And it really is underpriced considering the kit alone ran $14K
fantastic car. the color combination however, makes me think of clown shoes.
