Hi guys,
Thinking I need a bit more punch.
Bought myself a 4agze supercharger & Weber dcoe and started designing a installation for it and now I am thinking I should fuel inject- While procrastinating I have been ditracted by the low budget turbo kits for a beetle.
Anyone had experience with these?

INterested in hearing from anyone who has boosted their replica.
Who did it? what sort of $$ did it cost?

I have a 1776 EFI turbo kit from CB Performance. Its the older version with the 4 knob controller. It runs great. No problem starting, idling runs cool. I think CB has a new version of the EFI turbo kit. Its laptop programmable. I paid around 3k. Its kinda pricey but the kit is complete. Computer, wiring harness, throttle bodies, injectors. etc.

Heres a video on how the car runs.
I'm running a Borla muffler
Yes the money spent was for the complete kit EFI and Turbo. As far as HP numbers. I'm not sure, I've never had it dyno'd. It I had to guess, I'd say around 140 at 12 psi. I've had it up to 15 psi without detonation. My compression is low, 7.2 to 1. People say that low compression don't have power off boost. It seem fine to me.
Check CB performance turbo hide away kit. They make them for our kit cars. Basically a lower intake to clear the lid.
Here's a link for the newer system.
