I'm been under my speedster the last week doing some work and noticed that one of my rubber snubbers was missing. So on my latest service I had the machanic check it out. I picked the car up and drove home and found that he had removed the snubber altogether. My question is it ok to run without the snubbers. The mechanic made a note that the car was too low for snubbers. I did a little checking, seems that some VMC don't have snubbers. Other have them that are cut down and shortened.

Any advice would be appreciated.

Dave, regardless of whether you are snubbed, you should never be shunned.

The snubbers, or bump stops, can cause issues on lowered cars. If the bump stop is too long the suspension can contact it early in it's compression and cause a sudden increase on spring rate. This sharp increase in spring rate coupled with the reduced overall travel is not good for handling. Cut down bump stops can work ok, but the same thing can happen. At the rigtht length they can soften the bottoming of the suspension and not cause handling issues. That's the target I think and also everything I know about them.

Remember, advice is worth exactly what you paid for it.
