I apologize for the stupid question but does the tonneau go over the retracted top or replace it? Sorry...

Over the retracted convertible top.
You may have to stretch it a bit to fit, and you may have to find the "magic" way of folding the top down into the well to get everything to fit.
Some tops fit down into the rear well better than others.
Thank you!!!!
Had a tonneau cover made over at autos international. It will interchange with the cover you currently have and goes over the retractable top:
Giday, Rusty. Can you pls. say what material you had your tonneau made from? Do I see no snaps on the door, the tonneau attaches to the convertible roof snaps around the back and then to several more across the dash?
Any chance of one more pic showing the tonneau totally zipped up for reference ?
Thanks...
Sure David... I had the typical snaps around the back. I replaced them with Tenax type of fasteners - like the ones originally used by Porsche. Because the IM's have roll up windows, fasteners were put into the outside body of the doors. This is the way they did it on the real 59's of the day. There were also five fasteners put in across the dash. You need to also have the snaps replaced with Tenax fasteners on your original cover so that it is useable as well. Almost forgot to mention - the tonneau is made from Haartz stayfast material (Canvas with rubber backing). Here is a pic with it zipped up.
Also... I got this idea from the float designers at the Pasadena New Years Day Parade. I had a forward facing camera installed along with a monitor inside - as the tonneau is water tight I can zip this thing up and drive in the rain using the camera system. It works great and you can really impress your wife or friends on a windie mountain road.
I'm calling my innsurance agent right now....
