i have a conventional hood which as i drive my speedster in england is an unfortunate necessity. i know! i know! i can hear the southern californians asking what is this rain stuff? obviously i can put a conventional tonneau on the car without the hood, but what i really need is a tonneau that covers the hood when the hood is in the down position. i don't just want a dinky quarter-tonnea that only covers the stowed hood. i want the full-blown thing with the centre-zip down the middle. the tonneau/hood cover needs to be able to be stowed away when the hood is erected. does anybody have any ideas on this and/or know anybody who makes/sells these? maybe i should just move to southern california!

Hey Michael, yes they do. I have one. No problem. When the top is down you can fit the tonneau over it. You may have to learn how to fold the top just so, so that it doesn't sit too high.

The only thing is you will need to take off the windshield to install snaps on your dash just along the windshield line. I took mine off and only use the FULL tonneau as a 1/2. That way I can hide things like tool box and case of beer out of site.

Cheers mate

In the pic the tonneau is stretched over the lowered top.

While we are on the Brit thing and even after 18 years with old Land Rovers I still get confused with "nearside" and "offside".

Really getting a bit cold here in the east for driving the Speedster. Was out for an hour last Sunday, upper 40's no top still plenty of envious looks!! Came home freezing but still grinning from ear to ear. Best toy I have ever owned.

-15C here with 135cms of fresh snow on the mountain. Bad Speedster weather for the next 4 months but great skiing. Hey you need to have a reason to live! So for the next few months I look at the car, do this, do that and read with envy about all those fine weather people. That is until I crank some truns on some new fresh.
