I think I really like them, but I'm not sure...

But I'd be able to see Mozambique.
I've seen that style on vintage 356's but not on Speedsters, later ones from the early-mid 60's. My 64 Chapron bodied Citroen convertible has similar shaped fog lights w/ yellow bulbs. The vintage ones are hard to find. I've had Porsche guys try & buy them from me at car shows.
They are 7". Saw this car at the Monterey Historics last year. Nice car. The Rudge wheels were the icing on the cake...
^ Love those! I marked two individual lights on ebay last week and then forgot about them. I actually think we're going to live with the car a little first before we add anything.
Like Mango said, those lights are F'ing HUGE! Viewing that car (with those lights) would have the same affect as talking to a beautiful woman with huge boobs displaying major cleavage. Excellent car, over-the-top lights.
@SternArt - that is one uber cool Citroen! Awesome boulevard cruiser.
@Al - Ruby is perfect in every detail!
They're like... DD cups but on a car.
I literally just installed these from ISP West yesterday. I went with mounting them directly to the body. I am due for paint so I wasn't too concerned.
These have a 133.5mm outer diameter (roughly 6" lenses) are 56mm. deep ( roughly 2 1/2") and, if mounted directly to a bumper with the existing bracket system, stands 176.6mm tall.
The bumper is torqued slightly up on the drivers side of the car so they may look a bit off in the pictures but they are level, it's the bumper that needs adjusting.
They adjust (swivel) side to side so that they can be aligned straight though mounted to the curved surface of the body. They could also be swung away as described above to prevent lens damage during a day race or drive. Likewise the bracket system allows you to swivel them vertically and horizontally as well.
The chrome is just ok, the rest is good quality and they are H3, halogen, 12v. 55 watt. Measured, drilled a pilot hole followed by a 9/16", and bolted right up. Less than an hour including measurements. Laid blue painters tape over the finish before measuring and drilling. Have not finished wiring up yet. They do not come with the relay, wiring and switch, but are grounded to the mounting bolt of the bracket.
ISP West shows the 5" model on their Samba and e-bay ads, but if you dig a little on their site you'll find these.
Their part # is ZVW120C and they come in clear or yellow lense.
About $65.00 plus shipping. Speak with Adrian if you call direct. Took about 4 days from LA to Peoria UPS.
the 7"-ers remind me of these:
Mango - Those are used to set fires.
Do they come with the Bat Wing silloette? Large lense is ok - but the grey ones look too deep. If you mount those on anything fiberglass use a huge stainless steel fender wash or ould end up with a big hole from vibration.
Too big -- 'nuff said . . .
BobG, Can you try uploading your photos again please. I see only the two overheads with your feet. I'd like to see your installation a little better. Did you use any washer types on the inside?
Sorry, Rich. here is a picture of the finished product. This'll give you something different from last year to look at in your rear view mirror during the Corn Daze drives in June.
Rich:
The lights came complete with a large washer which I used between the nut and the fiberglass. The nut/bolt system is 1/2" and the nut is about 2" long, so plenty of clearance of the fiberglass thickness. These, as I said, are about 6" across and less than 3" thick or deep, so they sort of replicate the Hella 160's though they aren't sold as such. I think ISP West carries them as a bus light. The 5" version is what they show in their ads with chrome bumper mount brackets on a 67 VW Bug.
I wanted to go bigger than 5" but less than 7" and not real deep or thick lense to back, so these worked.
I literally looked at hundreds of pictures of lights for size and placement and since these were all aftermarket or dealer installed as I understand it, there was plenty of latitude in size, type and location on the car.
One of those "looks good to me" decisions on what to do.
I like the big lights. Looks like a period rally or endurance car and, best of all, makes it a little different from everyone else's.
A little creativity with a pizza pan & you can make 8-slot Mangels look a lot like Rudge knock-offs.
Bob-
Your lights are the bomb.
Thanks for the kind offer for bus lights, but alas-- I've already got some mounted, wired, and working. Someday, I'll illuminate some moose or elk on the way back from SLC, but not if things don't start progressing soon.
We really need to get that cup o' joe before both of our lives get nuts again.
I'm good every morning next week. Call it.

I liked them too, but an awful lot of people seem to hate them.
Chris Coddington makes some really nice Rudge Replicas, but I think they're about half of what the whole car costs.
My wife took the 996 to work today and it broke on her. I'm tired of &^$@ing with it, so we took it straight to Porsche of Towson. My point? There may not be money in the budget for vintage driving lights, Rudge replicas, or even pizza pans for that matter.

Back in the sealed beam days any NAPA could get you bulb number 4537 which was an aircraft landing light. They fit perfectly in the high beams on a quad headlight system, although we learned the hard way on a Datsun 510 that they needed to be used with a relay. Talk about night raids...
