I know most know about how good there customer service is but i thought id post and let everyone know how awesome my experience was. I was contacting them about buying a windshield frame kit for my junk fiberfab car. I live about 2 hours south of them so I didn't mind taking the trip to pick up the box. Well to start i was very happy with the deal Kevin gave me and the email replies were quick. Then Kevin took time from his Saturday to meet me at the shop and pickup the parts, showed me around and let me check out some cars. When i got home i ripped open the box and sat in my living room floor playing with it. quality is great and fit perfect. I really couldn't be happier with that whole transaction..

Yup, they're great folks to deal with.
Yup, class act all the way, like I've been saying for years!
If you were playing with the windshield and frame parts, you are a braver man than I am.

I actually saw Carey hand deliver a few to Carlisle a couple years ago - and donated one to the raffle.
ditto .... since I received my speedster from Carey and Kevin last year, I have sent dozens of emails with questions covering different aspects and nuances of the car. Carey has answered them all. Most importantly Careys attention has given me great piece of mind.
Carey not only supports Beck owners but is always willing to help the owner of any brand of Speedster. He's a wonderful guy and a very smart businessman!
All the previous comments x 2!
I have a Beck. Flew fom Austin Tx to Indianapolis bought my car used and then drove to Bremen It was snowing and cold but they got me road worthy as I thawed out in there show room. I have nothing but praise for Kevin and Carey and my car is kick butt!

I'm not so sure, they ignored/never responded to my email. I completely understand, that I have a CMC, not one of their cars. But perhaps in the future, I might be a potential customer???
So I am not sure about all of this holy grail of Beck.
What was your e-mail about? just curious

Door stops. At Tom Blankenships suggestion he said to contact Carey.
Further thought, perhaps Lane. I am not sure, several months ago. I have moved on.
In this world, I don't have time to chase non-respondent suppliers down.
Sorry Tom, I knew, in the micro second, I hit submit reply,I realized I had butchered it your sur name. I should know with one as, BRAY
My God Tom if I meet you and you do not look like Austin my world will be turned up side down
i should not say Austin but do not remember the bad guys name
Dr. Evil?...
Hey Art, if you didn't get a reply from me, then your e-mail never came through (or perhaps, somehow, I mistakenly overlooked it?) it's that simple. I answer all e-mails, usually within 24 hrs, regardless of the maker of your car.
I have sold parts to, and provided service for, EVERY make of Speedster over the years...
Hell, I even answer the stupid e-mail like "will your Speedster body fit my wrecked Chevy S-10). Those replies are pretty short, but answered nonetheless.

Hey, don't judge.
Cooter had a spare S-10 chassis lying back behind the barn. After a few nips of moonshine, he and bubba got to thinkin'. No harm in trying.

Carey, I had inquired, via email on your site. Asking about the door stops you use, and if they would fit a CMC. And if so where, if anyplace could I purchase a pair.
Sorry, never came through as far as I can tell... the addresses posted on the website get crammed with SPAM so maybe it just got filtered accidentally. Best to e-mail me directly (carey AT beckspeedster) I have very few issues with that account.
Anyway, for door check straps I use VW Polo from VW do Brazil, but they are very similar to 61 and later Beetle. As for if they will work on a CMC I don't know that answer, never tried.
Do you have access to the back side of your A pillar? The reason I ask is that we insert the tab end from the back side and bond it into place with the tabs protruding through the lower A pillar area. This is done before the inner kick panels are bonded in place. We found that this was a far stronger method of attachment, plus it effectively shortens the stock check strap by about 1/2" (with no drilling and cutting) and makes it the perfect length for our car.
You'd just have to play with something similar for your CMC. Making them shorter by cutting/drilling if needed, or if you needed them longer, the Bus and 914 check straps are also very similar, but longer.
Carey, Thanks for the quick reply and the information on the check strap!

HAHA. forget the frame. I put the box ontop of my head for HOURS!!!!! Im still impressed by that frame kit.
Id be really surprised if Carey didnt reply to an email. Kevin was in constant contact with me when we began emailing and when i called carey for further assistance he helped even more. Ill be heading up there soon with my jalopy so they can give it some love. Im really sad that I dont have a BECK now. Instead of a dumb "box of dreams" fiberfab. lol
Im going to proove that a turd can be polished up and made pretty though. lol
