Mark - here's some tools people might not think of that I think are REALLY handy. Magnet at the end of a telescoping stick (for the things I always drop), gear wrenches - these things are great for tight spots, a motorcyle jack is very handy for drivetrain removal/reinstall (not that i've had to do that - noooo not me...). A portable heater for the garage. A large piece of scrap carpet to lie on when you are underneath the car. so much better than the nasty hard floor and you don't have to put the car up higher to get clearance for the creeper (which likes to get stuck on the darn bolt you dropped). Four very high quality jackstands. Get a good timing light. One that allows you to check the advance at RPM.
Oh and Steve says to get a plasma welder. Then he walked out the door. He wants one for Christmas, I'm absolutely positive that it's not really necessary. But for putting up with me, he might just get one... angela
