top down cover

Anyone know where to pick up a 1/4 car cover to fit the Speedster with the top down? I saw one on an old MG that covered the passenger area and went over the windshield. I like the looks of the full tonneau but I dont want snaps all over my doors. Wil

Is this designed to be used OVER the conv top?

Where do you buy them? Everytime I think about going out with the car for the whole week-end I have to carry a whole cover just in case it starts raining. This would be the perfect solution...

Just got my California Car Covers catalogue and they have something like it. They are called Custom Fit Interior Covers. They are made of their waterproof "Stormweave" material. They are available for Boxter and newer Cabs. Call them and see if they can make one for a speedster. Stormweave is the type of cover I have and it does a great job of keeping the car dry in rain.

I got one off Ebay recently. It was for a Miata but fits pretty good. Have to remove some of the attaching strips and re-position them though. I think I paid about $45 which I thought was not bad.

Brian, can you post a few pictures with your cover on your car? I am really interested in buying one very soon. I would think the boxter cover has to be a close fit.

The top works better at 60 MPH than sitting still on a rainy day.

I don't know about the boxter cover but the Miata one I got is pretty close. But my car is a roadster to the top sits a bit higher. If I were to get the wife to just sew in down the center (front to back) taking in about 3 or 4 inches then it would fit perfectly. Other than the straps...the rear has straps that would fit under the leading lip of the Miata's trunk and these would be better on the front to fit under the trailing lip of the Speedster trunk.

I'll see if I can post something this weekend...
