Hope that caught your attention!

Does anyone have a photo of either a chassis/trans/ flat 4 VW and wheels combo from underneath?

Or from above without the body installed - The more "birds eye view" the better.

I have been offered a great custom bay window van exhaust but I think it's never going to fit even with some meddling.

Thanks in advance

Thanks Wolfgang, but I am not looking to compare this to a van.

I am unable to view a rolling chassis or the underside of a VW engined speedster ( or even bug.

So before I shell out good money on a very creative custom exhaust (which was originally destined for a van)  I just want to guestimate whether I can re shape the crazy pipe work to keep the silence boxes between the heat exchangers and the wheels.

Hence why I need a top down view of a var without a body shell, or a view from under the sump plate out to the hubs.

I sharpened my SawZAll (this is early bug - the heat exchangers are much larger on '68 and up). "Offered" to me sound like free or pay shipping - I wouldn't risk more than $100 on the chance it might fit.

The bug rear panel was notched for the 2 pea shooters - which would also hit a Speedster rear bumper or roll pan.

Remember a '72 and later VW van in US was the T4 engine which has totally different exhaust ports from a T1. Plus FF/CMC has a 2" steel box frame a few inches from the valve covers.

Thanks Wolfgang.   These exhausts exit behind the rear types and have two silencers which run parallel to the exchangers.

The exhaust offered is for a T1 motor not a T4 boat anchor.

This is a 1200 which means that it is not as wide as a 1600, but there's not a lot in it.

I am feeling a little more positive about buying the offered set up having seen this - thanks.
