I started about my Speedster project back when Kit Car Mag. was still in circulation. Then in 2014 I just decided to get one. I looked at Vintage, JPS, Intermechannica and Beck. Since Vintage was the closest and getting it registered would be a snap I went with them. I ordered one without engine or transmission. I built my own trans and engine with parts mostly supplied from CB Performance and Rancho starting with a Rhino case and a CB engine builders kit. That started in the summer of 2015. I can now say that now "Rhonda" is a very well sourced car and what an exciting project this has been !! It has been a lot of work but I found it to be a pleasure and exciting. Many nights I would go to sleep thinking about what I had in store for tomorrow and couldn't wait to get to that place where I see the purple fog just before I drop off into another reality, traveling thru the night to awake to what I had in store for the new day !
I odometer reads 6000 KM today. That's not a lot but it has been a wonderful journey with a lot of positives. I can honestly say that I now am perfectly satisfied and happy with the results of all my efforts and I look forward to my little jaunts in Rhonda around my area here in So Cal. Rhonda is running perfectly ! It has the power and performance I wanted and the driveability is pleasurable.
To get me to this level took some effort on my part but I want to thank many of you out there (and you know who you are) for your kind patience and support in those areas where I stumbled on my journey. Plus I have learned a lot from you as well. Some of you know that I have used the statement "Information is Power". It's really true thanks to you guys. I hope I have given back some of that in exchange.
The six accessories I manufacture and sell has been another adventure in parallel . There's more to come in this area and sales is still growing so I hope you all continue to follow me in this effort as well.
I'll be heading down to Mexico for a couple months so if any of you need anything let me know soon so I can ship it before I head South.
