Tow bars and bras

Does anyone have experience towing a IM tube frame car 4 wheels down? Will a standard beetle towbar work? What bra has given good service? My past experience has been that some bras actually do more paint damage than not using one. I see that there is a bat wing looking bra and a full face bra. Any info appreciated.

I'm not sure about the tow-bar but if you use a T1 beam it will work.

Look for the topic"I got my bra" on 2/16/07, it was a very good thread on a custom fit bra (pics included). Its the best fitting/looking bra I have ever seen.

I've ordered a Wardlow custom bra and did a trial fitting, after which I sent it back for some tweaking. Mine is their first classic style Speedster bra. I can't say enough about how good they've been to deal with.

The problems normally associated with bras can be avoided if you follow a few simple rules:
1. Make sure both the bra and the car are clean before putting one on the other. This is to prevent grit between them from damaging the paint.
2. Don't leave a wet bra on the car any longer than you have to. This will avoid clouding of the paint due to trapped moisture.
3. Make sure the bra is tight and secure to prevent flapping.

I plan to use mine only for highway driving, and the only time I'm likely to drive in the rain is on the Carlisle trip. I'll post pics when I get the bra back and mounted.

THAT WARDLOW BRA IS AWESOME
IT NEVER COMES OFF UNLESS I AM WASHING THE CAR AND WHEN I WASH THE CAR AND REMOVE IT THERE IS NOTHING DONE TO THE PAINT.
