As a trucker, I need to again how unsafe it is to tow anything. The speedster is too light. Yes there are a couple of owners here that have a small tag a long trailer , but anything over 200 GVW is unsafe to say the least and that is risky.

Reasons are:

*A heavier tow load will result in "push".....the speedster is all too light in overall weight at 1600 lbs, the front end has very little weight, with a tow load attached it is a unstable combination it will "plow" in a turn or in a hard braking situation... even worse, on a wet roadway can easily jack knife!

*I have seen this all to often on the highways where smaller light weight vehicles are towing heavier tow loads resulting in a runaway situation ....i.e.swaying out of control into another travel lane or into oncoming traffic. Unsafe and dangerous only begins to discribe the risk.

There is a saying in trucking :

"Reduce The Risk" this means to do all that a vehicle operater can to prevent any situation to be come an unsafe one.

*The speedster has no provision to safely anchor and attach a hitch assembly.

*Increased weight makes the engine work harder resulting in increase motor heat , the No.1 enemy of the aircooled engine.

*Bottom line, I wouldn't consider towing anything at all.
