I have independent corroboration (?) from a reliable (?) source that gerd's muffler is now where the engine pulley is supposed to be, the subframe is like a pretzle, and every body panel is cracked in some way. Still, I'd want to see some pictures . . .

Honestly, it doesn't look as bad as I expected, although the pictures probably do not show the true extent of the damage. I would expect that wheels, tires, complete interior, and a number of small parts should be salvageable. From the shot down the door, I would guess the frame is a bit bent.

Well, it is not as bad I thought it might be. Pictures do not show the extent of the bent structure, exactly. But enough w/ all of that -- we're on to the next incarnation of the gerdmobile. Should be cool.

A few strokes with the Kerswill pump and all is forgotten.....

once again no one was injured which allows me to sleep in comfort at night. i cant imagine if it fell off in the middle of the freeway during rush hour. and what are the odds that it would land in front of a new carrera exiting the freeway

Could it be that the Speedster was depressed by it's failure, and the shameful position of having to be towed????? It looks to me like it went "POSTAL" and launched it's self at the first real target of opportunity it could find........Then again, I could be wrong...;-)
