You have been and are still working, Lane - You never made it to Wastrel Class.
I can be a wastrel any day I want - one of the joys of retirement - depending on which definition you use. I don't waste that which I have, but I have been know to be a loafer, good for nothing layabout. 
I found longer 8mm 1.25 studs at Zelters. The only problem was they weren't threaded the whole way. The middle of the stud was not threaded. Bought them and used a die to cut threads through the middle.
I Still have to install the Compensator. Has anyone bought the CB Performance one like the one I bought? I saw JBugs has am EMPI version that is different than CB's. Jbugs does not have the straps at the end, but rather nylon blocks.
I've used both and prefer the CB strap version.
One note that I didn't see above (maybe I just missed it) is that camber comps are made for stock gearboxes, so if you have a pro-street or pro-drag version with the thicker aluminum side plates then you'll have to reshape your mounting plate to accommodate the wider footprint.

I do have a pro street tran. I had to grind a little of the compensator mounting tabs to get it to fit.
