Fortunately, Carey managed to sell a car & get space on his trailer for Natalie.  This was no easy feat as Hagerty had to be strong-armed to get the insurance.

Mike, the US IM dealer from Detroit had to pass within 2 blocks of my house & I got a ride home with him.

A bearing failed in my trans taking out the rest. First major trans failure for Carey.  The guys' 1st day back in the shop was Tuesday & my engine & trans were pulled by 8 AM.  Freaking amazing!

Could have rebuilt, but would have wiped out most of the summer.  Carey had a new trans in stock.  Car back together Wednesday, COB.

Carey is heading to Detroit (maybe Friday) to swap out an exhaust for a new build (correct exhaust wasn't available @ delivery).  The route takes him right by my house.

With a little luck, Natalie will be back in my garage Friday morning.

The Germans have an expression about luck in unluck.  Not thrilled that I need a new trans, but very grateful for the help I've received.

Nice news Tom, and although it involves you having to spend a bit for a new Trans, I think a few things fell into place here which certainly helped your process be a little more painless than it could have been.. Karma buddy, for your awesome help.

Hope all is good for tomorrow, Pls don't forget to collect my parts from Carey. Thanks a BUNCH Tom.

regards

Al

Good finally meeting you at Carlisle 'cept for "found dead on side of road."  Guess I'm a glass half full kind of guy.  Talk about good luck - a trailer ride home for Natalie, ride back and fixed like new in a couple days so now back on road. I envisioned you having to buy SUV with a flat bed trailer.

I ended up towing Schu's red TD back to VA - waiting on diagnosis.  Assume loose head/exhaust.  Ending up putting near 2400 miles on Yota SUV.  Next year it will be my CMC (ok probably tow it up the first 1k miles).

Tom---great news about Natalie being back on the road.  Man, I really felt for you at Carlisle and know your mood was not the best when the tranny went.  Great that you were working with Kevin and Carey ---they truly are just super and show their care and concern not only for Beck owners but every attendee at Carlisle regardless of car make---and they do it every year. Their record of sorting other mfg's  cars  sometimes even right after delivery is something that amazes me.

I oknow that no one doubted that your tranny problem woulkd be quickly and expertly remedied----and it sure was!
