I'd love some opinions on transmissions.
Have a 72 pan with a lightly upgraded engine (new case, CB cheater cam, counterweighted crank, 1:25 rockers, 34 Webers) and I'm looking at the 3 transaxles I have. I'm a light driver so I don't need bulletproof etc.
I have two ATs (one has an 8 so I assume it's a 78 by the charts) and one AH. I'm draining and looking at the fluids and checking for slop in the gears -hoping that if everything looks clean and I can change gear oil and go.
I'm a little intimidated by transmissions so any advice is welcome.
I've searched this board prior to taking anyone's time but I haven't seen anything relevant.
