Does anyone out there know the size and length of the four studs that hold the transmission nose piece ( where the shift shaft enters the tranny). I think they are 13mm and I don't know the length. Thank you.

I believe the studs are 8mm (1.25 thread) but I don't know offhand how long- I've got a call out to someone who will know. I'll post it when I get an answer back. Al
Thanks Al I appreciate it.
The studs that hold the nosecone to the transmission are actually 7 x 1.0mm, don't know the length, there are 7 or 9, I can't remember.
The front trans mount has it's own studs, as do the bell-house mounts.
The studs that hold the gear carrier to the trans case are 8 x 1.25mm, as are all the studs for the side covers and swing axle retainers.
I just looked at my extra trans in the basement. There are 7 studs, 30mm in length.
Great, thank you so much.
Oops- Danny's right, they're 7mm. Any originals you find should be right as my source says that's the only length used in 7mm. And 30mm sounds about right (again, thank you Danny!).
No problem. The PBS nosecone requires the studs to be removed. It's design is such that it needs to slide up into place, and then install the bolts.
That's the only reason I know about the studs, they are sitting on my transmission bench!
