Tree House Brewing in Central Massachusetts has grown from a very small operation in an old barn ten years ago to several breweries and a total of six sites around the state, all with themes to fit the history of their locations.
Yesterday they had a Cars and Coffee at the main brewery, so Chris and I got a small caravan of Porsches to drive out for the first ever PCA C&C event there. There were about 200 Porsches there and exactly three 356's, all replicas - My CMC, Bill Pickering's IM and a JPS built in 2018, now on it's second owner and has all of 800 miles on it (unfortunately, the new owner doesn't know a thing about it other than he stated that it came from "one of the premier builders on the West Coast". 🙄
Here's a photo dump with comments along the way. You can also check out their video of their very first C&C, earlier in the summer, for mixed models down at the bottom of the photos list.
This is the main brewing building for Treehouse showing 1/3 of their brewing vats - The place is huge. It also is home to their hard liquor distillery operation (infused Brandys and Rum, so far). My friend, Hot Rod Ron's son works for Treehouse.
This is the main lot - We eventually filled this lot and the one up on the hill. The building and grounds are really classy.
This is a very rare sighting of "Hot Rod Charlie" in the wild. He's given up building Hot Rods under contract and is now working on a 1963 Porsche Carrera Super 90 coupe for himself. He's also looking for a recent Cayman GT-4 to buy if anyone knows of one for sale (anywhere).
Very pretty 993 - Like "Nancy" in the animated Pixar movie, "Cars".
That's the nose of Chris' red Porsche on the left. His friend's dark blue Porsche is next and that car was manufactured in Germany on September 11, 2001. As a US Veteran of the war in Afghanistan (another Medic, @MusbJim!), I doubt that he will ever sell it.
This pair was right across from my car. The owner of the 911 restored both it and the 914. In contrast to the gray car, early Porsches are tiny.
This is the JPS. Wish I could expand on it, but the guy truly didn't know a thing about it.
To his credit, though, he bought "Treehouse" decals for both sides (under the Pegasus).
This Bimmer snuck in when no one was looking, but he and his partner walked back to it carrying three cases of Treehouse beer.
This was three cars away from me and was one of the best 1970's throw-back New England Manxes I've seen around here in a long while. We didn't run "Sand Tires" in New England for lack of dunes, so mostly we ran deep-cleat mud and snow tires and off-roaded out in the Boonies.
This was the only 928, was very well restored and actually ran long enough to get him there (and hopefully, back home!)
Here's our side of the lot. Don't know the silver car next to me, but Chris' 996 is on the right.
A Panoramic shot from the hill near the parking lot, first 30 minutes of the event.
A faux race car (yellow) next to Hot Rod Charlie's restored, pedigreed, race car in blue.
For you guys who might get to Naples, FL in the winter ( @Marty Grzynkowicz ) and can find the REVS Institute car collection, Charlie Padula is a Docent/Guide there and is a great guy to talk with - Ask for him. Tell him I sent you. He'll get a kick out of that.
Quite a few early 911 cars were there. Some hadn't been out all summer because of the wet weather.
This video was of a mixed car, C&C back in May or June. The Treehouse Owner is narrating the video and I'll post the video of yesterday's C&C when they put it up.
