W O W! First off, the weather was 100% better then last time! I hated leaving and of course, like all good times it went way too fast. The covered bridge tour was something I will never forget. We live down by the beach and the nearest mountains in Asheville are a good 7 hours away. This was the first time we had the Spyder up a hill or shall I say, hanging almost off a cliff. :) The scenery was beautiful and it felt like a roller coaster ride! The best part was listening to all three Spyders as they bolted through the bridges. The Webers sounded awesome! lol. It was great to see everyone from last year and all the new people this year.
Thank you Bruce and Norma for a FIRST CLASS experience! Everything was very well planned and we thank you for such a wonderful time.
Thank you Cory for another beautiful drawing award of the Spyder! I have it hanging up right under the one from last year. :)
Thank you Gordon Nichols for your presentation at the awards gala! Steve races motorcycles and it is considered cheating to use a spotter and we can not use them ever at any of the tracks we race at. You put together a fantastic show! I am jealous that car racing allows it and motorycles do not.
I will never forget the Nigerian birthday party. Upon exiting the bathroom I got *caught* in the middle of about 20 6'4 Nigerians in full African ceremonial costumes and they all started dancing and I could not get through and I got swept into their party! What a sight that was to see. ha!
Danny and Lenny...my Spyderclub friends...it was a blast hanging out, racing around the mountains and on the Turnpike. :) Love you guys! Thanks for everything.
Had a scary moment when we were all stopped coming off a very steep grade... I turned around to see Wooby, Wild Bill, Heidi and Al all lock up their brakes and the smoke was everywhere...no one knew we would be stopping so soon..lol
David and Francine~ Great to see you again! My favorite memory is leaving the fairgrounds, getting on the raceway I mean Turnpike and seeing the back of your Speedster with two people and lots of white/blonde hair flying....Judging by the early thumbs up, I think David saw us coming as we buzzed past you. Time got away from us and I PROMISE that we will get you both in the Spyder next year for a spin! Thanks for trying out the Patron! I think you like it! Enjoy the cookies!
Marty and Sandy~ Great to see you again, the new Speedy is beautiful!
Jim and Ginny~ What a pleasure to meet you both! We hope you enjoy the NC box and the goodies inside! One question... how did you get it all on the plane? lol
The warning signs and posts had been out on some guy named Cuzn Vinny...his posts were mean and rude..we hadnt even met him and already I was thinking of ways to avoid him.....Did that guy ever show up? I met a very nice, well mannered, polite Italian GENTLEMAN named Vincent from Malibu, CA It was great to meet this Vincent..glad we never ran into Cuzn Vinny.
Jack Crosby~ Great to see you and Russ again! Hope you enjoyed the memorabilia! Thanks Wobby for being a good sport and trading..I will get the flask out to you next week!
Saturday night we met this radio announcer guy talking to this guy named Killer. Radio guy said Killer was Geraldines boyfriend. I LOVED Killers glow in the dark orange tennis shoes and eye patch...I hope someone got a picture of him..LOL
Toni and Max Zimmer~ OMG dont even know where to start..Saturday night chat with you Toni was EPIC! I never laughed so hard in my life! Remember the sun screen next time Max! Everything will be A OK and you wont be burned! (get it, A OK hahaha) Looking forward to reading your new book series.
ALL of you are special, wonderful people..thanks for the memories..will be back next year!
