Patrick, with a 2009 IM maybe you could opt for the hybrid engine option with the front and rear lids serving as solar panels and the full tonneau transformed into a Para-sail on windy days. It 'might' pass Cali Regs for 2110.

Dale, thanks dude! Rick, see you in late Feb. Date TBA.
Dale,Bill and Ron it was great to meet up with you guys last week at Henry's.Bill your car is going to be great.I really like the leather and floor mat combo along all the other details that make these cars so cool. .Jim your car is next up after mine.Henry was finishing up the welding on your frame last week and believe it was your body that was in the Jig having the larger trunk fitted. The fog lights from GB look fantastic as do the beehives and the speaker grills.Let me know when you are going up to visit, if my car is back from the painter by then maybe I could come up and meet you.Brooks
Brooks, I'll send you a my travel dates. I think we have one night there that Rick will be hanging out with us, and then on the next day I'll hang around the shop until heading for the airport in the afternoon. The body is on the frame today and I just changed tire choices. Thanks for the words on GBs Hellas and those Beehives.

I'll write in the morning.

Jim
The trip to Intermeccanica was fantastic. Bill and I spent the entire day, from about 10am until we had dinner with Henry and Paula, his wonderful mom, at 8pm. We talked about cars, options, Knott's, California, other builds, EVERYTHING. And then at dinner, Paula gave us a terrific history lesson on the beginnings of Intermeccanica in Italy. We were in the restarantfrom 8pm until 1130!

Brooks came up from Seattle, Ron stopped by to say hello to say Hi to Henry and found us there, nice.

The trip was exciting too. Started when I left my Digital SLR sitting in the parking lot behind Bill's car. I didn't, didn't realize I didn't, didn't have it until we were getting ready to go thru the X-ray machine. Damn. Bill ran back to the parking lot and recovered the camera. I got pulled into the secondary security clearance because I had my watch under a long sleeve shirt and forgot I was wearing it. We got lost leaving the airport, great directions from Hertz. And I left my glasses on the plane and it is costing 15 bucks to have them next day'd from San Francisco to my place in Dixon. What a trip. I can't wait until I can do it all again!

Thanks Henry and Paula for the wonderful time.
