Geez.....I used to haunt Colchester with my brother when I was a kid......1964 - 1973 or so. Doubt we would have crossed paths back then. Colchester was a pretty cool strip back then, though.....A true motorhead track. Did you hear that they've resurrected the road course at Thompson? And there is now a very classy "Private Club Road Course" up in Palmer, MA. I'm finagling for a club day out there this summer. Think slightly more challenging than Lime Rock but with almost zero amenities. You want food? Bring it!
Sounds awesome. Gordon, I was born in 1965, so we didn't cross paths. I did get out to Colchester a couple times before they shut it down. Friend of mine ran a Kawasaki turbo bike, circa 1985.
I bought my 001 Beck Speedster 16 years ago. The clutch cable broke every 3 months for two years and mechanics didn't know why. I found out about the Hydraulic clutch, put it in, and for 14 years, I've NEVER had a problem with the clutch since. Just be sure you drill through the Clutch pedal arms correctly, and be sure to weld another arm right next to it for strength. ....
