Trunk Gasket, Latch and Cable Release

You'll have to measure the width and height you need, but McMaster-Carr make a LOT of different sizes of D-shaped weatherstrip with adhesive backing for the front trunk.

A lot of guys install 4 pads or bumps on the engine lid.

I'm a Spyder guy, so can't be of help with latches. You can either use steel or copper tubing for housing, or you could use a cable/housing arrangement.

On my CMC I used to use whatever weather strip looked good from "Frost King" in the door/window/weatherstrip aisle at Home Depot.  It was OK, most of the time.

Then, in an epiphany, I used the same "D" shaped weather strip on my Frunk that MUSBJIM recommended.  Fué MUCHO better.

IIRC, it was 3/8" high, BUT!  As Danny mentioned, you'll have to measure the gap you have all the way around the frunk opening to see what size you'll need - All cars, especially CMC/Fiberfab, seem to be different.  Get it so that you'll have to compress it 1/8" or so (the gap will vary slightly around the opening) which might mean you'll have to put some shoulder into it when closing the hood (never slam it).

You should be able to get the latch from Beck or Vintage Speedsters.  Also, I read somewhere that the engine lid latch is from a Fiat 124.

The cable is from a VW hood release and you can cut to the proper length.

I've not heard of a Fiat latch working.  I have an extra engine lid latch for CMC so same as FF.  PM if interested.  A choke cable will work for the release cable.  I'd use rubber buttons as suggested.  It increases fresh air flow. 

On my CMC I installed a Fiat latch that also pops the lid up.

For the engine compartment lid seal I used something like in the top picture:

Update.  Regarding latch.  I can't install one because my body doesn't have a fiberglass form formed in place to receive the latch. 

PO must have cut it off?  I have marine hatch latches on a boat tailed dune buggy.  It holds the rear engine cover on.  It would add a bit of Steam Punk to your car. $25/pr.

I remember old '60 muscle cars had racing style hood latches too.  You'd just need to make angled metal base pieces.

you could use some of the copper nickel brake line to route the cable, bendable by hand and is very hard to kink.
