Trying to contact INTER911

Try this @Inter911 Come to the SOC site Bob: IM S6 is trying to get in touch with you.

He should have an email address associated with his account even if it is not for public viewing. If it is still active he will get this message.

I've never used that @ function, so let's see what happens.

Robert, please tell me about this @option.  I've seen it, I tried to test it and I have no Idea what happened.  My post was deleted.  How do you use it, what does it do?

Type the "@" symbol and without any spaces following it start to type the screen name of the person you want to mention. When their name comes up in the popup box select their name from the list. This is important, you can't just type their name all the way. You'll know you did it right when if it turns blue; like a hyperlink. That person will get an email with the post that contains their name if they still use the email address that was supplied when they signed up on the SOC.

For instance I will mention you @craig in this post and you will get an email. When I did it earlier for inter911 I made sure I included a message so he'd know why he was getting the email. Just like you will see this whole message in the email you get.

Robert, so I should have gotten an e-mail from this site or you because you typed @craig in the message above?  Didn't get it yet.  It's been three minutes, what's holding it up?  Can you type faster?

And what happens if someone's email address is old and no longer valid?  We get that with about 20% of the membership of our local club each year as people change their ISP/Mail provider.

And Oh, by the way.....  I didn't get an email notifying me that I mentioned myself in this post.  Guess I'll have to see what I did wrong.
