Okay, so I'm not sworn to secrecy. But they're demonstrative of what'cha can do with a VW Type I if you put Jim's mind to it.
He's been creating this thing for a guy we know for a while now, and it's just about ready to go for the big sand-blasting appointment and powder/paint after that. I took these as "before" pictures and had to share them.
Overall, it's still metal with fiberglass fenders. It's a sunroof car with a funny car cage inside, and pretty much non-stock everything else. The engine is frigging huge (I have no idea how many cc's, and I haven't asked yet), and the turbo placement and routing only ever existed in The Wrench's head before he put it together.
Everything comes apart easily enough that he'll be able to reassemble this thing within a few weeks' time, and this is going to be the hottest single-seat Bug with plates on it on the East Coast. I might be helping with that part.
Sorry for hogging bandwidth with this thing, but damn.

Neat, but that looks like super overkill on the metal tubing thickness on the induction side of the turbo.
