2002 Beck Spyder. Not a kit. Purchased as a turnkey automobile. One of the last 9 built by Chuck himself. 4300 miles. 300 miles since turbo conversion. 2165 engine. Close ratio transmission. 3:44 final drive. Estimated 300 hp. 1300 lbs. Speed in gears: 40, 65, 99, and 140 (6000 rpm redline). Runs on pump gas. 20 lbs maximum boost. Turbo'd and intercooled by Dan Lawson of Competition Engineering in Phoenix, AZ. I have receipts for $15,000 for the conversion. Autometer gauges, MSD ignition and rev limiter. Autometer shift light. Two oil coolers. Cold air intake system. Includes full top, side curtains, and tonneau. You can find a complete description of the turbo conversion on the Engine forum. Body and interior are perfect. Everything is sorted. Not a radical ride. Runs exactly as before until it comes on boost. Still gets 22 mpg (maybe more if you keep your foot out of it!). Clear Missouri title as a '55 VW. I also have the original MSO from Chuck. Insurance is only $170/yr for $35,000 of full coverage.

Turned out there were a lot of tire kickers on Ebay but no serious buyers. Anyway, my car is for sale for $35,000. Please call or email with questions. David Dicks 314-579-0088. speakers@charter.net

Thanks.
