My directionals stopped flashing, but my car has A/C which occupies alot of the space under the center of the dash panel...where did Kirk put the flasher? and is it a conventional mechanical flasher? Pan is a '69.
...I thought it might be above the A/C assy and over the rectangular crossbar that's under the dash... I looked quickly but didn't see a flasher.
If you have a later Vintage, any tips on where the flasher is?
"Flasher" will probably wake up Vince.....

I found the flasher! Kirk had applied silicone ealant to the top of the flasher and then stuck it on the inside lip of the angle iron bracket that holds the steering column. It was also painted black, so it didn't stand out at all. I found it by pulling the tach and then looking in thru the tach opening in the dash as I couldn't locate it by looking from underneath the dash. The A/C evaporator fit's pretty close to the strg column and limits what you can see from laying upside down under the dash. Thxs for the tips and help. PS: it was a $3 two prong universal flasher and not a VW item.
