A few nights ago, my turn signals stopped working. They would come on, but would stay on and not flash. I thought it was probably the flasher, but the next day, when I went looking for a flasher, I couldn't find it. At leasst not by the fuses and nowhere else that I could see. I decided to take it out for an evening drive and guess what...they worked fine. Well, this afternoon, they stopped again. Anybody have any ideas? Is there a flasher? The fact that they light up tells me the wiring is ok, so what else could it be but a flasher???

I had the same problem. My flasher would just stop working but if i jiggled it it would work again. The problem is, that if you are going down the highway and use the turn signals you have to look at the indicator to see if it was working or not.

As Gordon said, my flasher sits right over the steering column and is easy to find. It looks like aluminun, is round, about 3/4" diameter and maybe 1" long. Has two prong connectors and wires attached to both.

I got another one from Kirk at Vintage but I think any auto parts store has them for about $4.---Jack
I put the new electronic flashers in all of my cars and no more problems also no more "burned out" flashers. I got them at the local NAPA store. Great!

I tried hiring a flasher but he got tired of standing out by the road and went home. Do you suppose Vince would sign up to take his place.
