Last night I tried my turn signals and they flashed slowly a couple of times and stopped. Now either direction the dash arrow light is on solid but no lights on the exterior light up. Does this sound like the flasher went out? I haven't even got to drive the car yet.

New flasher are readily available. I bought mine at PepBoys.
Tridon (Novità Tech) Loud Flasher
Part # LF12C SKU: 8963914
Yellow about the size of a golf ball, but cylindrical in shape. It's very loud, (mechanical) so helps with top down noise.
Somehow Ive gotten a short to ground on one of the turn signal wires to the lamps and it fried the flasher. I'm not looking forward to tracing it out, under the dash wiring looks like spaghetti special at Olive Garden, all you can eat.
Could it be the battery ?
found it. Thank God it wasn't the wiring. The left rear Chinese repo bulb socket was made too large. The pips on the bulb couldn't lock the bulb in so it popped out and was half laying in the socket. Some how it allowed the bulb to ground out the turn signal lead which shorted ou the flasher and fried it. I fixed it by slightly squeezing the socket tighter where the bulb locks in. Now it holds ok and the short is gone. Isn't this fun?
It'll always be "something" with these cars...... Enjoy the good days and exercise the "sailor vocabulary" when things go wacko....
Glad you found it so soon....
