My turn signal switch has 4 wires. Black - turn signal power from blinker I'm guessing... Right, left, and high beam. The VS harness colors are obviously different than my 71 beetle turn signal. Well , on top of that, the aftermarket turn signal stalk switch doesn't match a 71 ! Ahahaha. Am I correct here-
*Switched power to thermal blinker can
*Power out the other tab on can
*Power to the " black" wire which I think is the stalk power

Is it this simple to power up and have the turn signals blink?

I'll say this, you've got the most messed up wiring. '67 harness, '70 turn signal switch, 72+ wiper motor, '71- wiper switch, and now a thermal flasher relay...

Switched power --> flasher relay 49

flasher relay 49a --> signal stalk center terminal (the one you had your screwdriver on in that picture from your other thread, yes probably black)

flasher relay 31 --> ground

You also run another wire for the flasher bulb in the speedo:

flasher relay 49a --> speedo bulb

Actually, what type of relay do you have, how many terminals, and what are its terminal markings?

An XL flasher:

switched power --> flasher +

flasher L --> signal stalk center terminal

flasher L --> speedo bulb

A PXL flasher

switched power --> flasher +

flasher P --> do not connect

flasher L --> signal stalk center terminal

flasher L --> speedo bulb

A KXL flasher:

switched power --> flasher +

flasher L --> signal stalk center terminal

flasher K or KBL --> speedo bulb

Might also be an S label, but S=L=49a

Yeah Justin I know it's becoming more of a random year car as we rewire it. My buddy is one patient guy. I'm making a diagram so if and when the %^** stops one day, we know what we have to work with. Thanks for the technical help man. I appreciate it. I'm not at home. So I will have to ask him what the flasher looks like. I say thermal flasher, aren't they all? Anyway, I will look.
