Turn Signals Gone Goofy

My turn signals have just gone goofy: they either stay on solid or blink erratically. All the bulbs are working and all fuses are good.

I looked for the turn signal relay, but couldn't find it. I'm driving a 2010 Vintage Speedster.

Any ideas what might be wrong?

Bad flasher... usually mounted on the top of the steering column ( trace the wires out of the signal switch) or a bad ground or crossed filiment in the bulb ( but still works )

Like Alan said, the flasher is above the steering column. Just pull the tach out and you will see it.

i think you just reach under and grab it, its held on by velcro or silicone depending on how new car is.

You were right, it was the flasher.

I would have sugested upgrading it to the heavy duty N.A.P.A version they cost a bit more but are less likely to do what yours did.. A lose bulb will usally lead to this kind of a failure.

I had more problems with the rear VS tear drop lamps on mine than I cared to remember They were junk. Finally replaced the sockets with better brass units. and they have been fine ever sence. better check that again to make sure your bulbs are in good. or it will reacurr.

Dielectric grease will help and it wouldn't hurt to replace the flasher with one that has a buzzer so you don't forget to turn off the manual signal switch some of us have.
